Walid Aziz, MD, is a double board-certified psychiatrist specializing in General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry, with extensive experience in child and adolescent psychiatry. He brings a comprehensive approach to behavioral health care, combining evidence-based treatment, patient-centered care and multidisciplinary collaboration to address complex psychiatric conditions across diverse patient populations.
Dr. Aziz has held multiple clinical leadership positions, including serving as Psychiatric Medical Director for North Tampa Behavioral Health and Fairwinds Treatment Center. His experience spans inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, substance use disorders, eating disorders and co-occurring behavioral health conditions. He also has experience leading child and adolescent psychiatric care in an inpatient crisis setting.
Dr. Aziz joined Eagle Telemedicine as a psychiatrist in 2023. His broad clinical and leadership experience supports Eagle’s delivery of high-quality behavioral health services to hospitals and patients through telemedicine.
Dr. Aziz earned his medical degree from Ain Shams University College of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt. He completed his psychiatry residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C., followed by an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital and the Miami VA in Miami, Florida.
He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry and holds active medical licenses in multiple states. His academic work has included research and presentations addressing substance use, psychiatric disorders and emerging approaches to psychiatric treatment.
